Robert Dunay professes the Vitruvian value of architecture as the cross connection of disciplines, championing the integration of the design fields through teaching, research and building. An endowed professor of architecture, the first Director of Industrial Design at Virginia Tech, a member of five landscape architecture accrediting teams, and now the Director of the Center for Design Research, Dunay has offered examples of innovative cross-disciplinary research and practice to enlarge the educational frame.
